I was on the Pacific Star this weekend. I did not see one rebreather on the boat. I think that there may have been an advanced open water class going on. Where on earth did you ever hear such a thing?
What I did see was the crew practicing some basic life support skills - just to keep their skills in top notch shape. CPR saves lives. They need to be commended for that!
