Why mess around with a pony? It isnt unreasonbly more to pick up a set of doubles and eliminate a bunch of problems. Or if you really feel the need to carry a pony, why not get an 40 or 30cf and carry it like a stage. More streamlined, more managable, and more air than a little strapped on tank, and you can pass it to a buddy in a pinch.
A nice aluminum 30 works really well for this.
