I wonder why it isn't used more often. Like the diver who died at Farnsworth last year could have easily dropped the lead at 35' blow and go. He would probably be alive today if he used an ESA instead of the unsuccessful buddy breathing attempt. I have witnessed an actual ESA that saved the divers life after he went diving with an nearly empty tank. Diver error but the ESA none the less saved his life.
