I remeber that some poachers got caught taking lots of bugs out of sants monica bay last year. did i hear that comercial fishermen are not allowed to trap there?? Anyway, i just started to hunt lobster last year and have been pretty successful (but not as successful as my 25 year old son). The trick is to go often and try new places. catching lobster is almost secondary to the adventure of going.......
