Whomever wrote up that little tidbit had have more than just passing knowledge about the commercial dive industry.
It's VERY common practice to use a $99 wetsuit in that fashion instead of a $2k hot water suit. You just stick the hose in whatever part you want to warm up.
Using a drysuit for sat dives doesn't hack it, you don't want to crap in a drysuit.
It'll just flush out of a hot water/wetsuit.
(Been there, done that).
Never got any jellyfish pumped down my back, just diesel fuel.
Is it a real story? We may never know, but it sure hasn't been disproven.
