We spent two weeks in Maui this past March. Ed Robinson's was FANTASTIC (our favorites were Captain Bill and DM Amy, though Mark, Byrd, Kim, Ricardo and rest were great too). There are plenty of great beach spots. Check out the crew at Maui Dreams on the 1900 block of S. Keihei road in Kehei for rentals and guided beach tours.
