Just for the record, I'm not the prominent* sales person to whom Terry refers. (Besides, if I put my pictures in our ads, I'd probably just drive business away.)

But I think Terry makes a good point and it's one I've made for years in my "How to Buy Dive Gear" talks that I've given at the Scuba Show and other places.

I have a section calld "Ridicule as a Sales Tool." It should be a MAJOR red flag for customers. Now it's one thing to say "We think this line is better because blah blah blah" but it's quite another to say, "That other stuff is crap". Even if it IS crap, there are more subtle ways to say it.

And as a final note, if any of you EVER should experience this type of thing at Reef Seekers, I'd appreciate it if you'd like me know immediately and directly. That's simply not the way we (and most other reputable stores in the area) do business.
