We saw three yesterday AM about 8 miles off Ship Rock. I
didn't have my camera with me, but one of our customers did
get a snap of one that she will send me... after she get the
roll developed.

Estimated about 18' long feet long, dark grey to black
with splotches of light grey and the tell tale wide and tall
blunt heads. Very slow swimming for the 60 seconds we saw
them. Their dorsal fins were stout and swept back, almost
looked an orca's but shorter.

I have never seen them out this way. Captain Tim said he
used to see them regularly way back when.

Of course they could be 'false' pilot whales... is there
an expert in the house? ;-).
