It is a good reminder for everyone of how careful you need to be out at Catalina, especially in the summer. Fortunately, I don't think anyone has been run over out there this year yet, I think last year was the last diver vs boat accident.
It reminds me of the "Paved Paradise Put Up a Parking Lot" thing. A sign of the times. On a good vis day I saw an anchor drop at Catalina once - Italian Gardens. It is a scary thing to see.
