Squid Boats - Diving Safety

Now that the squid are running in the canyons, what are the dangers to consider with the squid boats coming into the areas we dive? I'm aware of the use of seal bombs, but I was also concerned about the use of nets. Do the boats drift the nets? If so, how far way from the vessle would they travel? What depths?
