Assuming 30 divers on the boat, that's $11.10 in tips. How much did you leave? I mean, it would only take one or two people leaving $10 to throw your math off. The tips may have been crap, but I doubt seriously it averaged out to 37 cents.

That being said . . .

I agree with Don's comment eaerlier. On a "routine" day, $5/diver average should probably be the normal. On a very good trip, $10/diver might be the number. On an exceptional trip (help on and off with fins, taking tanks from you, rinsing gear, etc., etc.), it would probably appraoch $20/diver. Remember too that different divers will receive different levels of service throughout the day and will tip accordingly.

And there's a parallel question that goes with this, but I'll make that a seperate thread.
