He probably feels the same way about you ....

At first you were all stoked to be going out on his boat for bugs.

Then he makes a bonehead move (which no doubt he was embarrassed about) and next thing you're hitting him up for cash compensation! Of course his embarrassment is going to turn to resentment.

I think you just lost a potentially good lobstering buddy, which is worth a lot more than your bag and fin.

Get over it and don't be a jerk next time.
